SHAVUOT 2012. This year, Shavuot falls following Shabbat, on Saturday night, Sunday and Monday. Thus, the first night of Shavuot is Saturday night May 26, 2012. We invite you to join us for Services and our other special Shavuot events. Check out all the information in our Shavuot Festival Guide Booklet (on left).

NEW MONDAY EVENING SHIUR: GOING KABALISTIC - THE BOOK OF EXODUS. We know that the richness of our tradition and the wisdom it offers can be exciting, even thrilling. Our weekly lessons probe the depths of contemporary Torah thought, with a special focus on issues surrounding spirituality, the human psyche, love, and relationships. Every experience offers meaningful and timely lessons – from the most timeless of texts. You will walk away surprised, inspired, and knowing more about who we are as Jews, and who you are as an individual. We invite you to join us for a weekly dose of uplifting Jewish study. WEEKLY ADULT EDUCATION. Weekly Adult Education. Lecture series on Mondays at 7:30pm; Talmud class on Thursdays at 7:00pm at the Rabbi's home. Shabbat afternoon Shiur at 6:00pm. Afternoon weekly insight: between Mincha and Maariv at 5:45pm. One-on-one Learning - contact our Rabbi for more information on 5570 1851.
FREE INTERNET KIOSK has been established at our Katranski Hall, with two computer workstations and internet connection ready to go. The Kiosk is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:30-1:00pm. Come in and pay us a visit.
THE SUNSHINE CLUB. Wish to volunteer and help another person? The Sunshine Club is a unique volunteer program under the auspices of the Gold Coast Hebrew Congregation designed to bring cheer and companionship into the lives of Jewish seniors all throughout the Gold Coast. Whether for seniors living on their own, in assisted living facilities or convalescent homes, the Sunshine Club matches up caring friends to be there with and for seniors - to visit, to assist and to uplift. To share experiences, to spend quality time, to celebrate special occasions and to create wonderful memories together.
CHEDER - Hebrew Sunday School. Our Cheder imparts Hebrew reading and writing, Jewish History, Israel, songs and Ivrit through hands-on activity coupled with Arts and Crafts and fun learning. Cheder runs every Sunday, except school holidays, from 9:30-11:30am. Join other children attending our Cheder classes for an educational and stimulating time. We are located at 35 Markwell Ave, with ample parking under our Katranski Communal Hall.
MEZUZAH CAMPAIGN. Going from home to home... protecting Jewish homes with tradition. The Gold Coast Hebrew Congregation will organise to have your Mezuzah checked or a new one put up. Over 300 Mezuzot have been placed at various homes and businesses. For more information please contact the Shule on 5570 1851. Please note that our Shule's Judaica shop features a wide variety of beautiful Mezuzah cases to choose from.
BIKUR CHOLIM - Visiting the Sick. If you know of anyone who is in hospital, Nursing Home or needs a home visit please call our office. We regularly visit and extend emotional, physical and spiritual care to those bound in hospitals or elsewhere. For further information please contact our office on 5570 1851 or Rabbi Gurevitch on 0499 527200. If you know anyone who is being admitted to hospital please encourage them to register their name as 'Jewish' on the form.

CHANUKAH IN THE PARK 2011. Perfect weather, great food, rides, stalls and entertainment all contributed to a fantastic Chanukah in the Park event.
